Re: [modeling-193] Backdrop stands and Reflectors

Good choice on the Sekonic light meter.  Pocket Wizards are the industry standard for wireless transmitters.  What they offer now is actual a transceiver because each unit can act as both a transmitter and a receiver.  Also, depending on which Sekonic you purchase, it will have a pocket wizard transmitter inside (or one can be purchases seperately).  If the sekonic you select doesn't have it already, check for rebates that are available if you purchase the transmitter and the pocket wizard "insert" at the same time.  My Sekonic offered $50.00 off if I purchases the pocket wizard sekonic component when I purchased my sekonic.

Lastly, Alien Bee does offer their own brand of transmitters, if you want a less expensive, but proprietary solution.

Hope that all helps.  Have fun!

What are the best type of Flash Light meters, and wireless transmitters to purchase? I am considering buying a Sekonic brand meter. Can anyone tell me where to purchase quality Backdrop stands and reflectors? [brand/type]

FYI I will be using Alien Bees 800 lighting.

Thanks for your time!
