At this Meetup we'll explore what it takes to successfully partner with AWS. We’ll hear directly from consulting and technology firms who have joined the AWS Partner Network (APN) and are leveraging their relationship with AWS to realize success in the cloud computing space. The event will conclude with a partner-sponsored networking reception.
Panelists
CloudCheckr - Aaron Klein - Aaron is a Co-Founder of CloudCheckr Inc. and serves as the company COO. Aaron brings a deep knowledge of cloud architecture and over 20 years of managerial experience and vision to his role at CCI. He has held leading roles in diverse organizations ranging from small entrepreneurial start-ups to multi-billion dollar enterprises. He is also regular contributor to publications such as DZone, Amazon Cloud Journal, and DevOps.com.
Cycle Computing - Jason Stowe is the founder and CEO of Cycle Computing, the leader in Utility HPC software. Under Jason’s leadership, Cycle Computing products have helped Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries including Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Financial Services and Insurance, and Government. Jason has been featured in New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Wired, BusinessWeek, Bio-IT World and Forbes. Starting with three initial Fortune 100 clients, Jason has grown the business to deploy proven implementations at Fortune 500s, SMBs and government and academic institutions including JP Morgan Chase, The Hartford Insurance Group, Johnson & Johnson and others. Jason attended Carnegie Mellon and Cornell Universities.
Logicworks - Jason McKay is responsible for leading Logicworks' Engineering team. In this capacity, he works closely with technology vendors, partners, and R&D team to ensure that Logicworks service offerings meet and exceed the performance, scalability and security requirements of Logicworks' most sophisticated clients.
Boundary - Zachary Van Zant - Zack is a Field Account Executive with Boundary responsible for sales and partnerships throughout NA East. Since joining Boundary in June 2012 (shortly after the service went GA), he has worked closely with AWS to enhance the experience for many key AWS customers. Prior to joining Boundary, Zack held sales roles at Nimsoft and Argent Software.
Nimbo - As Nimbo’s Director of Sales and Business Development, Ryan Trimberger oversees customer engagements throughout the US and works closely with Infrastructure and Development teams to deliver unrivaled results. With a comprehensive background in media, real estate and technology, Ryan identifies and tailors solutions for unique customer challenges.
Control Group - Max Oglesbee is an associate partner at Control Group, a technology innovation firm working to make science fiction a reality in our lifetime. Our recent work ranges from new digital wayfinding systems for the NYC subway, a "mind-reading office of the future" for Brookfield, and Virtual Balconies for Royal Caribbean's newest cruise ships.
Panel Moderator
Donn Morrill - Donn is a solutions architect (SA) manager with Amazon Web Services. He currently leads the VC & Startup SA team for the Americas. Donn also serves as the chairman of the board of the New York Technology Council.
