Third meeting

Matt Wood (AWS Technology Evangelist for EMEA) will be joining us again. He plans to do a roundup of recent updates and then a deepdive into Analytics in the Cloud: "The AWS Cloud provides a number of tools to drive analytics workflows, from tightly coupled, parallel computation to map/reduce jobs. This session will provide a deep dive on the design patterns, best practices and code required to run real world analytics on AWS." This meetup will be sponsored by
http://bashton.com/.... Sam Bashton will be showcasing an example of their use of AWS - more details will follow.

Great presentation from Matt Wood again. Stylish, entertaining and intelligent.
Big thank you to Sam Bashton for sponsoring the meeting, and for opening proceedings with an overview of how his business works with AWS.
Great turnout - hope to see you all at the next one. Any requests for topics - please get in touch. We're also looking for members of the group to present - the thinking is keep it short (about ten minutes, with a view to it provoking questions and discussion) and focus on a specific aspect or application of AWS.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
