Contemplative Interfaith Services

Want to reconnect with the center of your being in the middle of the week? Join us at 7PM on the second Thursday of the month for a Contemplative Interfaith Service in the sanctuary of First Church of Christ Scientist, 155 Deerfield Road. This is a very powerful, deeply enriching experience.  Each month centers on a theme such as Joy, Peace, Generosity, Compassion, or Forgiveness. You will hear the theme presented by sacred texts or writings of the mystics of the world's major faith traditions and supplemented by meditative music. Mystical music  complements the readings and creates a sacred space for reflection. Different types of spiritual practices may also be introduced.

For a participant's first hand experience of our September service, see the article titled Contemplative Interfaith Service - A Personal Experience by Bonnie DeMartini on our website: www.AbundantLifeUnity.org. This service is an opportunity to spiritually center yourself mid-week. You will leave calm and centered and deeply moved.

Our theme was Love. We enjoyed sacred readings, a walking meditation and beautiful live music - singing bowls and flute. This service is very peaceful and centering.

I like the vibe at night, learning about other ways to pray, and the energy both from serving with the team and from the service. I love the music.
