First meeting!

This location is shown only to members

People are coming from so many different places, it was tough to find a "central" location.

Sake Cafe is located in small strip mall called Northeast Plaza.

Looking forward to meeting everyone next week

I thought we'd keep the kick off meeting pretty informal. Just be ready to give your elevator pitch and talk about some of the business issues that are top of mind. The location will be someplace in Greater Hartford. I'll pick a location once I see where most people are coming from, to try and keep it as central for as many people as possible.

Jay, I have three things to say.

    1) Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend; I now have 18 events to choose from on Thursdays.
    2) Your group sounds like the perfect consortium to help me help the world with my 'concept' due to the diversity & the size.
    3) I may have a place you can meet that'll hold 2 to 50 people. It's located in North Central Newington.

Every other Wednesday starting 03/07/12 is good for me. Starting 03/14/12 I have a BNI group meeting every other Wednesday.

Sounds great. I'm coming from New Haven and look forward to attending. I know most of the libraries have meeting rooms free of charge if you book ahead & have a local library card.

What is the possibility of holding some of or all of the meetings every other (starting with 04/21/12) Wednesday of the month? If your next meeting is held on 03/21/12 there is a good chance that I will be able to attend most of if not all of the group's meetings.

    Hi Everyone,

I have received several emails with respect to preferences as to which of the day of the week meetings will work best. Though our first meeting will be on a Thursday, I suspect that going forward, it will be Tuesday or Wednesday. We can discuss on the 8th.

Looking forward to meeting everyone then.

Jay, Thank you. Since I won't be @ 1st meeting, I have 3 additional comments. They're in order from my request to my preferences with the last being least desired but OK.

    1) Please keep them evening meetings - maybe longer.
    2) Please schedule them every other Wednesday - starting with 04/21/12 because if they're on the 1st & 3rd or 2nd & 4th I'll have to some till there's a fifth Wednesday.
    3) Please don't schedule any on the third Tuesday of the month.

    If needed, please contact me.

Thanks Jay and all for getting a new meetup. I just posted a bunch of relevant URL that I mentioned in the meeting for startup groups and Hartford events. Just to get us started.

Jay - I think first speaker honors should go to you as the organizer.
