Introduction to Apache Accumulo: Architecture and Use Cases

Details

ClearEdge's Women In Technology group invites you to an "Introduction to Apache Accumulo: Architecture and Use Cases" presented by Dr. Billie Rinaldi of Hortonworks.

Apache Accumulo is a sorted, distributed key/value store that provides quick lookups and aggregation on top of the Hadoop Distributed File System. Billie Rinaldi was a leader on the team that implemented Accumulo at the National Security Agency. Since the project became open source, Billie has continued her involvement with the Apache Accumulo community as its Project Management Committee Chair, as well as contributing to Yarn, Ambari, and the Apache Incubator projects NiFi, Slider, and HTrace.

This talk will cover the basics of the Accumulo architecture and discuss examples of use cases for Accumulo. For more information, please contact Jennifer Tress (jtress@clearedgeit.com).
