The Power and Utility of Apache Accumulo Access Controls - Oren Falkowitz
Apache Acumulo offers fine grained access control over data. This talk will look at specific use cases outside of the national security context, and will discuss strategies for data owners to take advantage these features.
Culvert - Ed Kohlwey
Culvert is an indexing framework built on Accumulo. Ed Kohlwey of Booz Allen Hamilton will discuss the motivation behind the creation of Culvert and its usage.

Rajit SinghColumbia, MD is too far extreme in terms of DC Metro area. We need to plan closer on MD side like Silver Spring. I liked the presentations and the presenters. Very well done for the first session.

Sandy HiderEnjoyed learning about Culvert and of its possible uses. Found the changes in 1.4 informative. Would have liked a little more detail on the security slides but time was running short. Please post the slide decks. I look forward to reviewing them.
