Silk Screening Open Lab

Following the morning Silk Screen Workshop open lab hosted by The Crafty Avenger (aka Crafty Rachel).

This will be your opportunity to put what you learned into practice!

Folks will have the option of working with the pre-made screens from class or generating your own art for silk screening. If you would like to bring your own art there are a few things you should keep in mind...one it works on art formatted as a stencil and two you will need a computer to with Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape to make files... though there is one noted exception... words! We do have a stencil font you can use directly in the laser cutter software.

Also bring the item you would like to silkscreen such as a t-shirt or other item. We will have scrap fabric and shirts on hand for folks to play with though.

Material fee's for open lab apply if you generate your own screens. ~ $8 (cc or cash welcome)

This class runs on a minimum of 4 students and will be cancelled if there are not the minimum enrollment.

I know nothing about silkscreening for electronics. And the resist method does good detail but not micro fine detail. In this workshop I will be working primarily with textiles, though experimentation on other surfaces is not a no no... heck I know for sure I am gonna try wood and some plastics just for fun. But yes, the focus is on textiles.
