We'll kick off the event by going around the room and introducing ourselves including a brief description of our background and what brought us to AWP.  We'll also pass around a sign up sheet where those who would like to talk can pick a slot for the Round Table Forum.

6:45pm - 7:00pm - Devin Walker - Custom Functionality Plugin and CMB Wizard

Devin Walker of WordImpress will explain why you should be using a custom functionality plugin and a good started plugin he started that's available on GitHub. As well, he will display an advanced usage of Custom Metaboxes and Fields in where he creates a walk-through interface.

7:00pm - 7:15pm - Matt Cromwell - Image Optimization with Embed Services

Will there be a topic or presentation, or is it more of a networking event? Thanks.

Hi Lee, the format changes a bit based on who is hosting the event. However, our typical format consists of a round-table discussion where everyone has the opportunity (if they want it) to share something...that can be some code, a project they are developing, a plugin etc. There is never "one" speaker. It's really a great setup and I encourage you to come check it out!

Hi Lee, take a look at the recently posted agenda for more details.

Is there any real interest in my discussing denial of service and brute force attack prevention?

    March 14, 2014

    • Yaron G.

Sure. Let's include it in the open forum for sure.
