Very beneficial discussion, and worth the time. Looking forward to additional Meetups with other topics.

The lightning talks were awesome, and I met some great folks. Fantastic.

I'm kinda bummed that I went.

Most of the lightning talks had little to do with AWS. One of the AWS reps spent a long time explaining ephemeral vs EBS (which I would think 90% of the room probably understands) and other AWS 101 concepts. A quick "Does everyone here already understand ephemeral vs EBS?" could have stopped that, but 'evangelists' are generally big talkers.

Thank you to Donnie for pointing out that the room had some questions too.

Really appreciate getting to hear perspectives and Q&A directly from the EMR team. Lots of helpful folks from AWS were attending, and great audience questions in general.

just a note: The meetup tonight is located at 225 Bush Street, West Lobby, 11th Floor.

    https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=...

Please use the West Lobby entrance (on Bush Street, near the parking garage). We will have someone posted at that entrance to let you in the building from about 5:45 - 6:30pm.

If you arrive late, the East Lobby is the after hours entrance. We've given the security desk the attendee list, so you can sign in with a photo ID. You will then need to take the elevator to the 3rd floor, walk across to the west side of the building, then continue on to the 11th floor. Again, this is only if you arrive very late (after 6:30 pm). Otherwise, please use the West Lobby entrance and you can just go straight up.

    Will this be recorded...Video or mp3 ??

We'd like to start recording these meetups at some point, but unfortunately we don't have the setup for something like that for tonight. If anyone would like to help us out with recording, that would be great.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
