The Great Saunter is a walk around the circumference of Manhattan in one day: 32 miles, starting and ending in the financial district. I did it a few years ago and it was fun; I'm going to do it again this year. This will probably not be a 100% Chinese activity but I suspect at least a few people here will be interested in participating so I am posting it anyway. It's organized by a group called Shorewalkers who have a group here on Meetup and organize other walks around the city and nearby for those who like that sort of thing. This particular walk is an annual event of theirs.
They ask $15 to register. I'm not affiliated with them and I get no money or anything from that, it's just the cost for participating. If you're interested, sign up here:
RSVP to the event here too and if people are interested, we can arrange to meet that morning (Saturday, May 3rd) and walk together. You get to see a lot of interesting parts of the city you probably won't visit otherwise. The second half is challenging but worthwhile. A lot of people don't finish but it is fun to do as much as you can. Hope to see some of you there,
