We will visit many seldom-seen areas in the local mountains, Vancouver Island, and possibly elsewhere in BC and the rockies. Some trips I have in mind for the summer are Golden Hinde on Vancouver Island, the Fools Gold route from Coquitlam to Squamish, Meslilloet Mountain, and a magnificent traverse through the Southern Chilcotins. Our trips will not always follow trails or standard routes, the idea being exploration of lesser-known peaks and areas, with compass navigation, bushwacking, and camping in deep wildernesses. We will likely get lost, have to rappel down cliffs, cross fast moving deep water, and face other challenges .. fun stuff, all of it!

    Would love to try zip lining, (but would rather be in the woods vs. Robson Square ;) Would anyone be into it? I believe they have it at Grouse and Whistler....
