Saturday, Oct. 5th, yes the trip is on even though it is raining a bit. We have alternate plans of a wonderful apple orchard that is a must see. And hiking in the rain is CANADIAN.

This is a spectacular fall trail. The trail passes cliff faces, lakes, UNESCO protected foliage...it's quiet amazing. Lots to see over 9km of rolling trails. So let’s spend a day in the fabulous Ontario wilderness, in the company of other outdoor enthusiasts from all over the GTA!
Mono Cliffs Provincial Park contains a significant section of the Niagara Escarpment, including crevice caves, an upland limestone plain, and talus slopes. The trails here are enjoyable any time of the year but are especially lovely in the fall when the maples and beeches in the park exhibit spectacular colors. The trip is a guided hike and transportation is included in the price.
Prime attractions include walks through mixed hardwood forests and above and below tall cliffs. There are two prominent outliers, a glacial spillway, a kettle lake and a kame moraine. The park also features the phenomenon called Jacob’s Ladder and the fabulous views of McCarston’s Lake and views from Lookout Point. This park is sure to be one of your favourite hiking destinations, so lace up your hiking boots and join this scenic outdoor adventure!
This is a moderate-pace hike, and we will take several short breaks along the way for snacks, sightseeing and a longer break for a picnic lunch. Bring your own picnic lunch So pack some water, snacks, lunch, bug spray, camera. Carry a light jacket, hooded preferred incase it rains and prepare to see another jewel in Ontario's landscape.
Difficulty: about 9 km. Low to Medium Difficulty. Lots of up and down trails, no rock climbing. Some rocks on trails therefore in some parts of the trail foot placement is important.
Pick-Up: York Mills TTC subway station 9 am.
Pick-Up: Keele TTC Subway Station 9:30am.
