Back to Nature Meeting

Details

At our July meeting we heard about the successes gained by one of our members from working with Naturopathic Doctor Leah Hollon. Doctor Hollon contacted me and agreed to make a presentation in September.

Dr. Hollon is a Naturopathic Doctor and the Co-Owner of Richmond Natural Medicine. Dr. Hollon received her Naturopathic Degree (ND) from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. Following graduation she completed her residency in primary care and gained extensive experience working within numerous primary care settings including private practice, drug court, National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) and Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers.
As a young woman, Dr. Hollon became very interested and fascinated by the intricacy of the human body and more importantly the interconnection of the mind, body and spirit. This interest led Dr. Hollon to pursuing various degrees including her bachelors of science in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and her Master in Public Health from VCU School of Medicine. She has conducted research at VCU and also within the area of integrative medicine and rural populations. She has worked with diverse individuals and communities including homeless youth and coal mining populations. She has worked within academia instructing medical and pharmacy interns and has instructed courses in integrative medicine, gastroenterology, women’s medicine, public policy as well as clinical and physical lab skills. She has served as the past president of the Virginia Association of Naturopathic Physicians (VAANP) and still is involved in legislative and educational efforts as a board member of the VAANP. More recently she has returned back to her hometown of Richmond, Virginia, where she has partnered with her husband Mr. Peter G. Ross to start up Richmond Natural Medicine (RNM). Her goal in starting RNM is to provide a compassionate integrative environment to foster healing for those within Virginia. Her passion is to inspire and empower those around her to find one’s true joy and life purpose.

RSVP early and get ready to be inspired "naturally" at our "Back to Nature" meeting. See all of you there. Love you guys. Tom
