The "me +3" carpool will be leaving Knightdale around 9am putting us at the launch site around noon. Bite to eat, then launch around 1pm after getting the boats unloaded, etc. looks like the plan!

Steve and I will probably get there around lunchtime, eat a sandwich at the picnic table, and launch for a leisurely paddle out to the campsite. No rush unless we think it will be over run with scantily clad marines again ;-)

It's 3+ hours from Raleigh, so leaving 8-9 means launching 11-12, plus time for stops and getting the boats in the water. I'll be coming from Hillsborough, so it will take me ~ 45 minutes longer, or more if I pick up people on the way. Anyone need a ride? How about planning to launch by 1PM?

Leaving from Raleigh area at 8am or meeting there at 8am Saturday?

Hi Cassie. Typically, we all try to meet at a designated time and paddle together (sometimes, multiple launch times). In general, however, it would be leaving the Raleigh Area around 8 or 9am...

I also have a 2 person tent, and will bring a cooler. Carol, Henry(riding in a camp chair, drinking beer, and "expositing" as is his wont), and I did the New River day trip in my canoe. I figure max load is about 600 pounds

I have a canoe which I would share. Andrew, I could probably carry a kayak as well with a little adjustment.

I would like to come; I have a tandem kayak, but my car carrier solution isn't the greatest for highways.

If anyone has a pickup truck, or some such, and is otherwise boat-less, I would gladly share my kayak were you to share your truck.
