Scary Dog Monster Training Class - Only $5!!

  • Jan 13, 2013 · 12:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Class Description:

While on leash, does your dog react to other dogs by barking and lunging?

Does his behavior scare you or other people?

Are you frustrated by your dog's behavior and ready to change it?

Having a leash reactive dog makes walks more stressful for both of you. Leave this class armed with ideas and exercises you can do with your dog to break through the cycle of reactivity and create positive change in your walks.

Special Notes:

I have taken this class before with Gretel and found it to be one of the most valuable training classes I have ever attended.

This is a private class just for members of the Adventureweiner Club (there will be one or two "strange dogs" of the instructors choosing to facilitate the learning process). This class is has been extended to 1.5 hours to accommodate additional questions of our group. The cost is normally $35 but I negotiated a $30 discount per person for our group.

*there will be two dogs from our group allowed to attend class with their owners which will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis as appropriate. If you are interested in bringing your dog please contact me.

Out of respect for other members, each person is limited to one human guest. If you have more friends who would like to attend, please have them join our group and RSVP for themselves.

Jessica- Thanks so much for organizing this class. I have heard about these training methods before, but didn't think that they were Dachshunds applicable. Turns out that I was wrong and I already see a huge change in Gracies behaviour, even after just a day and and a half. If you were a dog I would give you a click and a treat for setting this class up! Erin

I see that there are either 6 spots or 3 spots available yet it won't let me RSVP. Can you let me know if there is at least one spot left & can I take it??

Good Morning everyone. I am looking forward to the class today and I hope you are too. I have been informed that parking there is very limited. There are VERY few parking spots on the lot. The rest of the parking is on both sides of Aurora Avenue and on the side streets. Please plan to arrive early to get a parking spot. There is a class before us that will take up several parking spots but they should be starting to clear out when we are arriving. If you are unable to attend this morning, please update your RSVP so the instructor knows how many chairs to set up. Thanks.

Just a reminder to everyone...this is a class for humans. Leticia, Lorraine and myself will be bringing "demonstration dogs" and the instructor is bringing one or two non-Doxies (since Doxies tend not to react to each other). Please leave your dog at home or in the car. You will learn a lot of useful tools you can take home and use with your dog. Thanks.

Sadie Louise is very aggressive and this will help her I am sure

  • Jessica Rhae W. we have our two doggie attendees from the group. Leticia will be bringing Ludwig and Lorraine will be bringing Lulu. I assure you that you will get a lot of value from the class by just observing. Often it is easier to concentrate that way and really pick up on the signals the dogs are giving.

Thanks Jessica! Definitely interested as Ludwig could use this. Let me know what I have to do to see if I can take him with me...
