Regulatory compliance issues are top of mind for most producers and processors given the ever growing public attention on food safety (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/11/science/food-industry-gets-new-safety-rules-to-prevent-illness.html?_r=0). We will explore the current pressing issues in the industry and how technology is being used to ease burdens and meet regulatory compliance.

On Tuesday, March 15th at the CSUMB Salinas City Center Campus we will explore this important topic and some of its implications for how we grow, process, and track food.

Panelists will also provide insight into the future of data and information that can be used to reinforce consumer trust and confidence in our food system.

We will be serving light refreshments.

Panelists:

Michael Palmer, Food Safety GAP

Tom Casas, Vice President Tanimura and Antle

Ray Connelly, iTrade Network

Diane Wetherington, iFood

Moderator: Aaron Magenheim

Join us to learn more about the topic, get involved, and meet some of the fascinating people that are advancing farming technology right here in Salinas!
