Agile @ Lego - Lessons Learned So Far
How does agile program management work at an 84-year old toy manufacturing company?
Lego Digital Solutions is on a journey. For over a year now we have been experimenting with how to apply agile program management across 20 teams, how to keep teams in sync without central planning, how to interface with other not-so-agile departments, and how to run 2-day planning meetings with 150 people based on principles of self-organisation. In this talk, Henrik will share some insights from this ongoing journey.

Swarming in Scrum (and a bit about remote teams)
In an effort to improve software quality and reduce technical debt we applied the concept of swarming. The theory says that we (the entire team) should work only on a single, highest-priority backlog item at a time. Alan will present the practicalities of that and tools that make it (almost) possible. Also, with team members in Boston, Chicago, Orlando, Chennai, Sarajevo, Belgrade, London and Dublin, we’ll look at the challenges of remote scrum and ways to make it work.
About Alan Stanbridge
Alan is a Scrum Master at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and has previously worked at IBM and Deloitte. He knows little about Scrum but will share with us the bit that he does and is passionate about. Alan makes amazing pancakes and this might form the topic of his next picture book!
