My apologies, but our speaker for Thursday night had to cancel due to a medical issue. I was looking forward to it and I know some of you were as well. Allow me to update you on some other events we are planning.
Keep in mind that we still have Lean Coffee this Friday morning and our next talk is coming up on Sept 10 at Devry University near Mall of Millienia. Our speaker for September is Ellen Gottesdiener, a thought leader in the agile community. If you are challenged with the long term vision of your products, manage a portfolio of multiple products in development, or are only planning iteration to iteration, then you will find Ellen's talk on Product Roadmapping extremely valuable.
We are lining up great speakers for November and December as well! More on that later.
For October, we will be at the new Envy Labs location downtown and are considering doing another round of lightning talks or perhaps hold our first game night. The "game night" is where we will take you through one of the popular games for teaching agile and lean concepts and then give you tips on how you can run it in your own organization. If you have a particular game you would like to see or learn (e.g., ball point game for teaching Scrum, penny game for teaching theory of constraints, the getKanban game for learning kanban, or others), or you have a 7-minute lightning topic related to agile/lean concepts, please let Ken or I know about it.
Later this year, we will build a backlog of events that we will ask you to vote on to help us "pull" the most interesting learning and networking opportunities for you.
Thanks for reading this update. Looking forward to seeing you at Lean Coffee or another Agile Orlando event.
