Think Visual - Visual thinking workshop 29th August

Sandy M.
Auckland, NZ
Hi all,

In the spirit of informing AgileWellingtonians about workshops, training and other events with international Agile stars we're happy to pass on Boost New Media's message about Lynne Cazaly coming to Wellington.

Add the ability to sketch out ideas and concepts to your Agile toolkit:

A single day workshop which will help boost your visual agility for collaboration, creativity and innovation and is ideal for those involved in the field of agile and software development –  particularly when needing to engage across diverse learning styles, diverse cultures and differing  levels of capability and interest in agile.

Trainer Lynne Cazaly can work with you to develop visual thinking skills – to help boost visual literacy so you can engage, connect and create engaging communication whenever and whatever you’re working on.
This visual thinking session includes drawing or sketching ‘in the moment’ visuals for meetings,  workshops, and training sessions, as well as preparing engaging visual maps, models and  metaphors for communicating processes, software, team thinking, problems and solutions, user  stories.

Session Outcomes for Think Visual

  • How can I apply visuals
  • How hand drawn visuals are memorable and engaging
  • Capturing the essence of your idea – what is this information really about?
  • What shape is this idea; What is the bigger context or picture
  • How to adapt your current style of capturing information, presenting information or note taking to take on new skills right away
  • How to ensure readable handwriting – and how to write quickly so there is time for a visual
  • Listening for the secret verbal signposts speakers and workshop participants give , so that you won’t ever miss a vital point again and you’ll know what to capture
