Aging in Place: Better Tools. Mindshare

Finding, creating, and using Better Tools for Aging-in-Place is this month's theme (again). Come to this event and swap ideas with others interested in the topic.

The format for this Meetup is an Unconference on the topic of "Better tools for Aging-in-Place". And a "Show & Tell". The goal is to meet other people interested in the topic, and discuss the challenges and opportunities in an informal but structured Unconference setting.

Unconference: Your opinions and ideas.

Show & Tell: Want to show off an Aging in Place "Maker project", or a sexy new widget idea? Or socialize an aging-related challenge you want to see solved? Join us.

Agenda:

1. Networking and drinks and snacks. (6.30-7.00pm)

2. Longevity Explorers: Introduction.(7.00-7.15pm)

3. Show off your Aging in Place Maker project or tell us your new widget idea and get feedback. See below for details. (7.15-8.00pm)

4. Unconference (8.00-9.00pm).

Show & Tell: To show off your Maker project or sexy widget idea, you should contact us first to be sure we save a slot for you. Just send us an email with some details about what you want to talk about. If it sounds interesting we will make sure you get a slot. If you prefer to just turn up, we will try and include you but no promises.

Plan on 5 minutes "airtime" in total. Use some of it to get feedback from the audience if you like.

Unconference: We will discuss the topics you bring. This is your chance to add your ideas to the discussion, or share your experiences.

The Longevity Explorers (a group that includes hundreds of older adults) has identified various Unmet Needs relating to Aging in Place, and even some possible Solutions. We want to meet people who might like to get involved in turning our ideas for "Solutions to Unmet Needs" into real products or services. Come to our Meetup, introduce yourself, and share ideas with others interested in this topic.
