In the fall of 2010, Parallel Path Corporation, an Internet marketing agency, partnered with the Boulder Chamber to deliver a series of seminars about local online marketing to the Boulder, Colorado business community.
The idea for the seminar series grew out of a need that Parallel Path observed when marketing their Aha!Local listing optimization service. The company discovered that business owners were very confused about the ever-changing array of online marketing tools, and were unable to determine which ones were appropriate for marketing their business to a local audience.
Ten years ago, a business only needed a website. Now there are things like map listings, reviews, social media, mobile, location-based services, and other tools that can be used to market a business. Which of these are appropriate for reaching a local audience? For reaching your local customers?
Parallel Path teamed up with the Boulder Chamber to create Aha!Local University to help business owners and operators answer these questions and begin to make sense of, and take advantage of, all the changes happening in the online world.
