A slideshow presentation by Tamara Wyndham

http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/5/5/e/8/600_264921992.jpeg From women trained in magick in the Golden Dawn, to the designers of the most influential Tarot card decks, to women in the Surrealist art movement working with the unconscious, to the feminist art movement and the revival of Goddess worship, women have been active in making art and magick.

Some of these women were initiates of magical orders, and were trained magicians. Some were primarily artists without magical training, but whose artistic investigations brought them to visions of other worlds beyond the material plane. Some were creating a new tradition of the Feminine Divine.

All art making is a magical act. Yet some were conscious of the magick in their art.

This is a preview of an expanded talk to be given at the OCCULT conference in Salem, MA Sept 27-29.
