Developing for the Atlassian Ecosystem
The Atlassian suite of products can lay much of their success at the feet of their rich ecosystem of plugins and extensions that have been developed by 3rd party developers.
In this talk we will provide a quick tour of developing and integration wih Atlassian products, including discussions on the:
- Atlassian Plugin SDK
- Atlassian Plugin Exchange
- Atlassian Developers site
- REST API's including what's new in JIRA 5.
- Speakeasy plugin.
- OpenSocial gadgets.
- Sourcecode access.
By the end of this talk you should better understand what extension points are available, what each of their strengths are and the new Remote API's that Atlassian are providing to make it easier for people to build rich integrations between JIRA and other cloud-based applications.
The presentation will be quite high-level, with the opportunity for deep-dive discussions afterwards of various aspects of the Atlassian developer eco-system.
