Interesting product. The eye piece seemed off a bit to me. Maybe I would need to get used to it's view area. What is the Google Glasses concept? A wearable device to record photographs, videos, send either photo or video to another person? We were told the battery life is about 45 minutes. There's actually a miniature computer inside the ear stem. I do like the thought of using voice commands to order the glasses to record a photo or make a video and the perspective is "as seen from my eyes". Mel says there are 7,999 others out in the real world testing and demonstrating the glasses. I checked the google web site following our meeting to learn more about the glasses. Another neat toy I will have to wait to develop, then determine if I have to have one or wish I had one. Cost, function and battery life will help me decide.
Mel did a great job demoing the Google Glass platform and showing some of her early versions of wearable computers.
Great presentation on Google's Glass. Surprised at how well it worked over regular glasses.

Anyone up for PGP key signing party?

I missed one ALUG had about 6 years ago. Still don't quite understand how PGP works, but I am interested. Running late for tonight's meeting.
