Let's Walk on the Bay Bridge!
Hosted by Alameda Running and Walking Club
Details
There's a beautiful pedestrian path on that brand new span of the Bay Bridge. The view is fantastic, and they're saying that it makes you see the Bay in a whole new way. The weather Saturday will be perfect -- a bright sunny day -- so let's share this experience with a new group of enthusiastic Bay Area walkers. And for the rest of your life, you'll be able to say that you walked on the Bay Bridge's pedestrian path when it was still brand new....
There'll be some great photo opportunities. (Remember to wear suntan lotion!) And there's no drinking fountains (or bathrooms) on the bridge, so bring along your own drinking water! We're starting in Oakland, so it's just 3.7 miles each way (or 7.4 miles total) . There's free 2-hour parking on the street, so you won't have to worry about your car while you're enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime experience -- and being a small part of Bay Bridge history!
