Our name has changed! We're now called: Albany Friends
(formerly known as: The Single Parents of Tweens).
Thanks for checking us out!

Here's another effort to get this worthy group more exposure. Various members in the group have been trying to promote and build a larger base and we thought it might be worth a try to open this club up to a larger audience. I thought that "Single Parents... " would have done it, but apparently there are not enough divorces taking place... lol

A large emphasis of this club will still be on kids, and offer kid-friendly events, but we also wanted more people to be involved.

Since we're all busy work slaves; I'd like to keep everything simple here - SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME!
Took a quick tour of some of the other Meetups and I'd like to encourage members to suggest events that fit their individual tastes and time schedules!
Ex. "Looking for something to do Fri nite? Post a spontaneous movie outing!"
Anyway, I hope to have many events that people will look forward to attending.

So, thanks again for joining and check out the calendar section as we add more Meetup events.
Come on out - I look forward to meeting you all!

Peace,
Linda

“I have twin boys who are 16. They visit from Brooklyn NY and we would enjoy activities with parents ans other kids when they visit. Its hard to establish friendships when they only visit once or twice a month.”
