WEBE Racing Event! This is a Race through the Ski Area that you can enter or just watch. It will be a great time to camp and hang out. The practice round will be at 11:00. Meetup has no affiliation with this event. We just want to support them and have some fun.

Pajartio Ski Mountain (http://weberacing.com/?page_id=535) Los Alamos, NM July 7th – 8th 2012

$10 gate fee per person, age 10 and under are free. This will cover the entire weekend, Friday – Sunday. We are raising the gate fee for this year to help them gain as much revenue as possible to help rebuild what was damaged during the horrible fire in Los Alamos. Please be respectful and pay with a smile. We hope to make this an annual event and this will be our second year.

No Camping fee.

General:

This will our second year at the ski mountain. Please be very respectful, we are showing up after a large fire went through the local community and they are trying to rebuild areas that were lost due to the fire. The majority of the mountain was untouched by the fire but a few buildings at the top were damaged. We are raising the gate fee to $10 per person and will cover the entire weekend to raise crucial revenue needed to help rebuild this incredible area. There will be no camping fee and there will be plenty of flat parking.

Terrain:

You will be racing up and down the ski slopes! Lots of open trees and less rocks than Angel Fire! Plan on lots of trees mixed with some open meadows and a small amount of roads. We had to incorporated a small section of roads to avoid the burned areas. We are very excited about this new location and will be making a new virgin trail.

West Road is now open and is a easy way to not go through the checkpoint area. The road is fairly steep and has some overhanging tree limbs. Really large campers might want to go ahead and go through the checkpoint area. Make sure when you go through the checkpoint area you stay to the right side. That is the lane big enough for campers and large trailers.
