Welcome to All Things Baroque. The idea of the group is to celebrate Baroque culture in all its forms, such as music, art, architecture, theatre and dance. London was home to men with big hair - Wren, London lad Purcell and Handel, a big man (well, clinically obese) who liked it so much he became a Brit.

In London we are pretty spoilt for choice as far as Baroque music and art is concerned, although the flamboyant architectural style never took off here in the way it did in continental Europe. Baroque opera and dance are still performed but not on a regular basis like 19th century pieces. We have fellow members who are specialists in these fields so we can learn something as well as enjoy ourselves.

Members are welcome to suggest Meetups as long as they are happy to host the event.
