RULES
1) Treat other people like you would want them to treat you. Emotion and tone are difficult to read in a forum so please be considerate in what you post. No curse words or overly explicit language will be accepted. Also, as mothers, we each have different parenting styles and have a wide range of opinions. Please try to express your opinion respectfully without bashing others.
2) Spamming or sending unsolicited messages to our members is not allowed. We have a forum for established members to promote their home businesses -- the Business Directory forum. When you meet the qualifications (50 posts and have attended one meet up), you can post there. If you are interested in sponsoring Aloha Moms for ad space, please contact Malia.
3) Please show respect to the leaders of this site as we're working hard to make this site the best it can be. If you are having difficulty with a member of leadership, please email Juniper or Stephanie for assistance.
4) Gossip – gossip hurts groups. No gossips in the forums. No gossips at Meetups.
5) Other Sites – If you know of another site/resource that can help our members (La Leche League, PPD support groups, etc) – great – please promote their meeting times and information. However if the website you want to promote is a competing site to this one, promoting it is not allowed. Please message an administrator if you are unsure.
6) Membership dues are only $1/year. You will have 30 days from the time you join to pay your dues (online). If you need to pay by any other way, please contact Trish.
7) NO DRAMA – There will be no fighting, flaming, or unreasonable debating on Aloha Moms. Our goal is to support each other online and connect IN-PERSON.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Each mother is responsible for her own child's behavior. PLEASE WATCH YOUR CHILD and how s/he behaves with the other kids. If your child is being unruly or aggressive, please intervene swiftly.
Illness:
For everyone's safety and health, please do not attend playdates if you or your children have a fever, diarrhea, are vomiting, or have a nasal discharge that is not clear.
Alcohol:
Aloha Moms understands that as adults, our members may choose to imbibe in alcohol occasionally at site events. Aloha Moms accepts no responsibility for our members or their actions should they choose to drink. Organizers should make sure that members that don't drink are kept in mind when planning events. The organizers of this group want to make sure that while our members are afforded opportunities to have fun, that we are not building a negative reputation for ourselves in the community by acting without discretion while "out on the town".
