Super easy trail running

Details

Trail running is a great way to build the physical foundation you'll need to scramble about on high mountain peaks and best of all you don't need to throw thousands of dollars on gear to get started.

Bozeman is full of fantastic trails right in town with trail heads that most can walk or bike to. These trail runs will usually range from 2-3 miles round trip on unpaved rolling surfaces.

This week we will be running a trail that goes between Sacajawea Middle School and the MSU stadium. It will be about two miles out and back over fairly flat and winding terrain.

The slowest member of the group will set the pace as is proper mountaineering protocol. We won't be starting runs if the weather is bad so all you'll usually need are good running shoes, comfortable running cloths and water. Random downpours are common during the spring and summer in Bozeman so a packable rain shell might be a handy thing to bring along if you have one.
