Business Technology Center (map)
Dear Webpreneurs: Our first meetup is finally about to happen! Please try to make it for this introductory meeting, if you are at all serious about trying to follow through on your own Web projects. This is the time to have a voice on how you want me to structure our meetups from now on for your own benefit!
We want to get to know each other and you have a forum to air any issues you are having with your projects, whether it is a blog, or a commerce web site or anything else online. In addition, for our first meetup we will show how you can
1. create a simple screencast video to promote your products or your website.
2. Members of our group will get to see a view of our green screen studio with a short discussion of the use of this for any future videos you might want to produce yourself.
3. I will take any requests for guests speakers on topics of your choice: these experts will also provide individual advice on your web projects or businesses. We have a SEO specialist lined up for a future meeting and will probably have a social media specialist after that.
4. But again, our main goal is for all of us to introduce your projects and share them with the group for suggestions and feedback.
We have a large screen that you can hook your laptop to if you want to show us any of your projects.
Please remember that at some point this group will be closed to any other applicants so that we can follow through on all of our projects and help each other follow through in a trusted environment.
Please sign in at the front desk and ask the receptionist in the lobby to point you to the Altadena Internet Project meetup room.
I have pushed our meeting time back to close to 4:45 PM to allow for as many people to make it to our meeting. Please keep in mind that at 5 PM the gate will close and you will have to call me on my mobile for me to come and open the gate for you.
Make a note of my phone number! [masked]
For any other questions or directions please call me.
Kim, I don't get off until 4:30pm but work off Orange Grove and Colorado so not to far away. Can't really be there until 5:00pm. Is that to late?
Dee, doors close at 5 PM. So technically we have to actually be able to make it anytime before 5. For example, even 4:45 would be ok.
Let's see if anybody else in the group has this problem too.
Ladies and gentlemen, anybody has input on this too?
Feel free to bring your laptops. We have wifi in our meetup room!
