The AlterMed Colorado Networking MeetUp Group organizes monthly events for networking between allopathic medical practitioners (doctors, nurses, PA's, nurse practitioners, med assistants, etc.) and complementary and alternative practitioners (TCM practitioners & acupuncturists, massage therapists, psychotherapists, Homeopathic practitioners, Naturopathic practitioners, Ayurvedic practitioners,  energy healers, Reiki masters, etc).

We have two geographic chapters: Boulder and Denver.

Our goal for sessions is facilitate networking between practitioners of various modalities to enhance the capacity for healing in our healthcare system. Greater collaboration among practitioners specializing in different approaches and doctors allow for the integration of preventative & lifestyle guidance with acute healthcare for more effective and sustainable medicine.

AlterMed Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation that is dedicated to bridging the gap between Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) and Allopathic Medicine. These are fields that can be highly polarized, to opposite ends of the healthcare spectrum. AlterMed uses rigorous, scientific research as the language with which to join these fields for a healthcare model that provides more resources for holistic and preventative health. This combined approach has been termed Integrative Medicine (IM). AlterMed Research Foundation funds CAM and IM research, facilitates networking, and hosts the biannual Colorado Integrative Medicine Conference.
