The City of Swan has passed an Amendment to their Town Plan - Amendment 40 - that imposes parking restrictions on people's own private property! This threatens the very livelihoods of hundreds of tradespeople who would have nowhere practical to put their heavy vehicles.

The Amendment 40 Action group was formed to unite the peoples of our city to oppose this Amendment with all our strength.  The purpose of the group is to mobilize our community to prevent the City of Swan's Amendment 40 from being gazetted in its current draconian format. 

Amendment 40 seeks to restrict what is allowed to be parked on a hobby block and it will affect a lot of people - even those who might think they aren't like those who park big tractors, mobile homes, school buses, small trucks - anything with a gross (loaded) weight of over 4.5 tonnes is restricted. 

If we don't succeed, the livelihoods of hundreds of tradies living on small properties throughout our city will be under threat. 

These are our friends and neighbours - even if you are not directly affected, lets give them our support and show City of Swan what a REAL community looks like!
