Join us for the April Ames IT Collaborative, as Krishna Rajan, Professor of Interdisciplinary Engineering discusses: “Business Intelligence for Materials Discovery”

This presentation will introduce the idea of applying the tools of information technology that are used in the field of Business Intelligence to the domain of scientific discovery. The similarities and differences between the fields of business decision making and engineering decision making are explored. Particular focus is given to the adaptation of data mining techniques used in finance and economics to the field of scientific discovery in the field of materials science.
