The theme of these 2nd IoT Olympics is: SOCIETY. How can the IOT make a difference for SOCIETY? How can we unite people, make them happier, healthier and make cities safer, cleaner and greener with smart applications of IOT technology, open data and sensor technology?

Lets prove to the world that IoT can make a massive impact on SOCIETY. Bring your passion and ideas to the next IoT Olympic games for a weekend of creative collaboration. Were getting the maker community together to rapid prototype in the newly opened MAKERVERSITY (http://makerversity.org/contact-us/amsterdam/) in the MARINETERREIN (http://marineterrein.nl/) using state of the art hardware from Glimworm Beacons (https://glimwormbeacons.com/), Trakkies (http://www.trakkies.com/) and more to demo creative IoT solutions. Join us for a fun and exciting weekend to make a difference for issues you care about.

We are bringing together CITY + TECH + BUSINESS.

Participants create IoT-based prototypes during the IoT Olympic Games and battle for honor and glory at the demos. Participants can register as teams or individuals - in which case we will help them to find a team & project.

Day 1 - 23 April

Masterclasses & symposium. Learn what the IoT is and become an IoT developer with IoT technology for beginners and experts. The program contains a tech, business and city track.

Day 2 - 24 April

IoT Olympics prototyping & demo day
Bring your team and build a prototype of an IoT solution. Then...battle other teams in the IoT Olympics demos!

You can help make the IOT Olympics happen! Help with:

VOLUNTEER - We need people on our team to help out organizing the event and helping out during the event itself. Help is needed for organization, tech support, communication, promotion, facilities, etc.

WORKSHOP - Especially on day 1, we are hosting a number of workshops on IOT technology, social innovation and business modeling. We need people who can host 1-2 hour workshops.

GURU - We need people around that can answer tech / business / city questions that teams might have.
