Tokens are widely used to identify resources and try to add some security to insecure environments, but sometimes the management of those identifiers can get a bit complex - even more on distributed systems. What if we could have an intelligent token, one that simplifies the way things works without losing integrity or security? Json Web Tokens can be a solution for that!

Luís has been a software developer for nearly 15 years and PHP was always his preferred language. Quality is one of his preferred topics but he is always trying to learn more - and share his thoughts - about object oriented design, automated tests, refactoring, DDD and agile software development. He loves to contribute to open source projects and is an active member of PHP community in Brazil - he hopes to do the same in Amsterdam, his new home.
