Analyze Boulder Monthly Meetup: R U Ready?

Moved to Nov 13 due to Ignite Boulder The Denver R Group (https://www.meetup.com/DenverRUG/) is coming to visit and talk about R (http://www.r-project.org/), and Brian Gryth from the CO Secretary of State's Office and Business Intelligence Center (also OpenColorado (http://opencolorado.org/) co-founder) will share details on the Colorado Innovation Challenge (http://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/newsRoom/pressReleases/2013/PR20130917Challenge.html), a call for developers to create apps and sites that solve business problems using public data.

We'll begin by drinking beer and socializing. Eric Huber, Brewmaster for Boulder-area up-and-comer Kettle & Stone Brewing (http://www.kettleandstone.com/), is going to join us for the event. He will be pouring one of their fantastic new selections and providing you with all the relevant stats.*

Shiny: a framework that lets you turn your R analyses into simple interactive web applications. Alex is an R user specializing in supply chain analytics.

Peter DeWitt
knitr: reproducible research and reports via literate programming in R with LaTeX, html, or markdown. Peter is a PhD student and statistical consultant. DeWitt has utilized literate programming for nearly all consulting and academic work over the past four years.

Ryan Elmore
R and Web Scraping: Illustrating how R can be used for scraping and processing web data with an application to sports statistics.Ryan is a Sr Scientist at the National Renewable Energy Lab. He uses R on a daily basis and is particularly interested in using it on high performance computers.
