AB March Meetup - Intelligentsia: AI, CO, and US Media

Details
Welcome to Analyze Boulder 34! We've got a varied lineup of speakers ready to share findings about Colorado's tech and business communities, media coverage of presidential elections, and signal detection theory. As always, we'll be pouring great beer from Vindication Brewing Company (http://vindicationbrewing.com/).
Margaret-Rose Spyker is GoCodeColorado (http://gocode.colorado.gov/)'s lead technologist, and will present data on the program, which connects developers and entrepreneurs to form teams that compete for $25K in funding to solve challenges facing businesses in Colorado.
Erich Wellinger will show us how, what, and when media sources have covered various topics in the 2016 Presidential Election, analyzed using the web-scraping and Natural Language Processing techniques.
Gary McClelland will present on a performance model of the judgments of social workers making decisions about child welfare. Even with millions of data points, the message was not clear without a model (in this case, signal detection theory).
Contact us (http://speakers.analyzeboulder.com/) if you want to give a 5-minute flash talk on any data-related subject!
