Welcome to Analyze Boulder 38! Our presentations this month focus on running and biking. Contact us (http://speakers.analyzeboulder.com/) if you want to give a 5-minute flash talk on any data-related subject at a future event.

Jennifer Boldry and JJ Trout of People for Bikes created a recipe for biking success in cities based on variables related to bicycling. They'll present findings from an analysis in four pilot cities and discuss applying them to create better places to ride for everyone.

Greg Salvesen will present data sonification related to ultra running. Sound is a multi-dimensional medium (e.g., pitch, timbre, volume, stereo, tempo) that's underutilized to convey information, but can bring new insights to data.

Jason Hill analyzed the Twitter streaming API for sports data (NCAAB championship games minute-by-minute, cursing during the Broncos' Superbowl loss, etc.) and will show us some insights.

As always, we'll have plenty of great beer on tap that you can enjoy to the awesome Flatirons view from the 5th floor deck!
