"Courage faces fear and thereby masters it." -Martin Luther King, Jr.
This is to confirm that, yes, our next meditation meeting will be this coming Wednesday
- not tomorrow night!
Sorry about any confusion! The topic will be how we can have the courage to change and grow in our lives.
Gandhi often talked about the yogic teaching that we are all "one." This deep inner experience
of knowing allowed him to have the courage to act from a place of conviction that few people can scarcely imagine. Yet, living from this awareness often "reads easy and does hard" in the material realm with human fears and frailties.
It takes courage
to speak, act, and live from one's inner higher truth. I have found from my own experience that regular meditation practice has been an essential guide to help me listen to my inner voice and act from it. In this way, it's easier to feel less thrown off by outside circumstances and be able to "say what I mean and not say it mean."
Also, a class we do
have tomorrow morning in the same location is the 10am Ananda Yoga and Meditation
group in which we will focus on opening the heart chakra to open to the kind of inner courage that can only come from the heart's inner authority and not the head's. Get there twenty minutes early to join us in Yogananda's Energization Exercises which I will lead.Hope to see you there this week or sometime soon!
