ALTERNATIVE Energy & Living Movement Meetup is an action oriented creative problem solving getter done group that has just started, and its activities will be unlimited (limited only by what its members limit their thinking too); and is comprised of monthly meetings, working and networking with other groups, orgs, and gov’t entities, Skill building events, Website Library, various field trips focused on Alternative Renewable Sustainable Energy and Lifestyles, Local meetup group member projects, etc.
As we are Just starting, we will be holding a steering committee of an Executive Function Committee Meeting focusing on the following:

- What is our Mission Statement and purpose in the Marketplace?
- What Policies insure the success and future growth of this Meetup?
- What are the Goals and Objectives that flow from our Mission Statement?

The Executive function is proposing the following Goals and Objectives:

1. Develop a formal Mission Statement that reflects the Group's vision in providing benefit to the individual, community, and marketplace creating a triple bottom line.

2. Provide an atmosphere in which industry professionals and novices alike can feel welcome in the participation of "...disseminating useful knowledge about the benefits and features of …” conducive to supporting Speaker presentations, information sharing, and the comfort of the group.

3. Develop a "template" for monthly meetings providing members and guests introductions, reports, methods of promoting Alternative Renewable Sustainable Energy and Lifestyles, and particular reoccurring elements of discussion benefiting the group.

4. Provide a policy of monthly topics such as "Alternative Energy Resources," "Conservation & Peraculture," "Solar & Wind Power," “Community based Self Reliance & Empowerment,” "Renewable Energy Legislative Action," etc. whereby members and outside speakers could participate in informational sharing.

It is also the intent of the Executive function that the group not be passive in the use of this information. It is hoped that individuals participating in this Meetup will begin to acquire knowledge that in turn will be shared with the community at large about the true benefits and features of Alternative, Renewable, Sustainable Localized Energy & Self reliant Sustainable Living.
