Everything About Android Location Based Programming that You Were Afraid to Ask

This month we have a presentation by Bibhas Bhattacharya, Founder of Vikingo Games, a Miami based mobile gaming startup. He has over 15 years of IT experience specializing in Enterprise Java, Mobile and Web Service.

This talk will explore some of the practical problems most programmers will face when developing a location-based application. Topics will include: - Best strategies for obtaining user's location. - Introduction to spatial search and the theory behind it. - How to do spatial search using a SQL database? - How to do spatial search using MongoDB? - How to test applications using mock location providers? - A few advanced topics such as proximity sensor and compass reading. As usual there will be some networking and food before the event to give everyone time to arrive for the presentation. Hope to see you there!

What's the average expected number of people that attend...I may be able to help also. Also location. Does the Brickell area work? I know of 1 to 3 places that could work from free to very low $$$ Thanks
