Android Game Development Workshop Part 2

This is the second session of our 2-part workshop designed to give you a crash course in Android Game development.

In this part, we will continue to build upon the simple Droid-Run-Jump game we created in Part 1 by adding sound, graphics and animation, as well as adding scoring and pause/save/restore.

The workshop is from 10am until 3pm. The workshop will start on time, so don't be late.

Food and caffeine will be provided.

There is free parking on the weekends. Best place to park will be in front of the School of Communications (5100 Brunson Dr)

It was really great to follow along as our little demo progressed into a fleshed out game.

I can't believe this was for free. Great seminar. Great explanation and discussion. This should have been a $1,500 seminar. Thanks Donald !!!

Srinivas, on second tought, this is actually an Android built in class. Make sure your project is properly setup - e.g. an Android project, not a Java class library, etc.

Just make sure you can run the hello world source code. Anyone of us can give you the part one of the app. You probably downloaded part of version two that Donald was probably in the process of uploading

Need to setup your enviroment to MAKE android Apps? NO it's not just the "android SDK" it's much more. This video I found will step you through it all: you MUST be able to have a basic "hello world" working on your android phone or emulator for this workshop. Or else you'll be completely lost.
