*Lost Dog Prevention
*Transportation Safety
*Emergency Fostering
*Emergency Records
* Pet CPR/First Aid including:
Recognizing Medical, Breathing and Cardiac Emergencies
Injuries and Sudden Illness Concerns/Priorities
(shock, bleeding, burns, muscle/bone injuries, poisoning, heat/cold?)

Participants will become better prepared to respond effectively to emergencies involving our pets. The information provided will help to protect both humans and animals from further harm, injury and reduce suffering by providing prompt effective emergency/first aid actions and follow-up care.

 A) For direct skill based experience participants should bring a stuffed animal whose size is comparable to their pet(s) to practice responding on, during and after class.

 B) For your CPR skill practice experience, please bring an empty plastic bottle with 1/2 -2/3rds of the bottom cut off, which is sized to fit over the muzzle of the pet you wish to be able to give rescue breathing to.

Program Instructor/ Facilitator
CJ Anderson has been involved with emergency and disaster response for 33 years both locally and nationally, for communities, businesses and individuals including teaching the Humane Society University Animals in Disaster program, being a member of the Maricopa county, Az Citizens and City of Peoria Citizen? Corps, Phoenix/Flagstaff Az CERT member & federal trainer. She also is a federally accredited OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health) outreach trainer, a Emergency First Responder & Canine Safety Instructor/Trainer~ teaching through Maricopa Community College, the National Safety Council and currently authorized as a Pet CPR/FA Instructor through the American Red Cross, Grand Canyon Chapter.

**Please note, this class is not being offered for certification but to help raise funds to help others whose pets are affected by this terrible disease during these challenging times! We welcome donations of healthy food, recent medications, skills and other resources which will help this new organization to a quick start!
