I've been a professional FileMaker developer since 1994. I've co-authored 3 books on FileMaker, presented at several FileMaker developer conferences, and I was a technical editor at FileMaker Advisor magazine back when the magazine was in print.
To share ideas, experiences, tips and tricks with other people who are interested in FileMaker.
Sure, lots. Off the top of my head: developing for iPad deployment, integrating FileMaker with SQL databases and other technologies like email and nagios, using FileMaker as a web back-end, security implementations, the new layout paradigm, scripting, writing custom functions, relational database design, using CASE tools with FileMaker, version control, naming conventions, design patterns.
Many moons ago, I was a sales engineer for Claris (now FileMaker, Inc.) based out of Chicago. I started slinging FileMaker databases full-time in 1994 and I've been doing it ever since.
Great discussions as usual.
