Scala 101: Come for the Collections, stay for the functions!

At this meeting, we will have an introduction to Scala, including the Scala collections. I will use examples from the Scala Koans so that you can continue to work on your own, either at the end of the meeting or when you go home!

If you are looking for ideas, I have a selfish request. We could do a clean-code randori on an existing Scala code base. I have one that I'm actively working on that could use some love. I have thick skin and could use some heckling.

We will miss you Richard, but your wife should definitely take priority!
