Let's meet and shoot the Milky Way. The moon won't appear until after 2am, so we will have plenty of time to get the perfect shot. We will meet in the Lake Hudson Recreation Area located in Clayton, MI, otherwise known as Michigan’s First Dark Sky Preserve. Lake Hudson has one of the best combinations of dark skies and clear horizons available in southern Michigan. We will set up in the shelter area, but the beach area is another option. Follow the signs to the shelter area.

Recreation Passport is needed to get into this park. Permits are available at the park contact station, when open, or at Knight’s Grocery, 1.5 miles north of the entrance at the corner of M-34 and M-156.
