*This morning session is full. There are a few spaces available for the afternoon meetup.* We will be using Shutterbug and local photographer Christy Bunge's studio space in historic downtown Howell, Michigan for this shoot. Thank you, Christy!
We will have one model and set for a pin-up shoot *plus* a second model and set for a boudoir photo shoot.
We will have you work in two teams, one at each set: three photographers on each team, rotating through who is the shooting photographer while the other two people act as their assistants, holding reflectors, moving speedlights, etc. for the shooting photographer.
Here is how this session will run:
10:45 - 11 Overview, tips and pointers on using speedlights, working in small teams, shooting in the space, posing model.
11 - 12 One team of three shoots at the pin-up model station while the other team shoots in the space for the boudoir model (adjoining rooms)
• one photographer shoots, assisted by two other people on their team
• rotate photographers within the team after 20 min. so all three people are able to shoot for the same amount of time with each model
12 - 1 Teams switch stations and shoot the other model and set
Fee: $65, non-refundable, covers two models, a makeup artist, and a prop used in the shoot. The fee will be paid via PayPal before I add someone to the list of attendees for this session.
How do I register?
1.) Send Frank Kaelin a meetup message asking to reserve a space for this session
2.) Frank will send you an email confirming that we have a space available for you in the session and will send a PayPal invoice from the Shutterbug account.
3.) Once that is paid, you will be added to this meetup
I would like to keep these spaces open for Shutterbug members, so I won't be accepting any +1s at this time. If someone really wants to be a part of the shoot, then they can register with meetup and become a Shutterbug.
If someone who has paid and registered for this meetup finds out later that they are unable to attend, they may find another photographer to fill their spot (they should post a comment in the meetup stating that their spot is available or post it to friends who may be interested on Facebook, etc.).
In these scenarios, Frank needs to be notified by 4pm at the latest on Fri., 5/9 of any substitute shooters. We will not be responsible for the additional transfer of funds-- that piece will be between the photographer who has already paid and their substitute. Too many people cancel meetups at the last minute, in my opinion, and I need to make sure the models and MUA are paid regardless of any last-minute changes.
Each station will be provided one Alien Bees 500 speedlight and a set of radio triggers. These rooms have high ceilings and windows as well.

Attendance is 8 here... Christy and Frank will not be shooting. There is space for 6 other photographers. Frank will not be attending this meetup, but he's helping coordinate the registration and making sure the MUA and models are paid.
