PSG Workshops: Studio Lighting 1 & 2

We wanted to invite you to our upcoming workshops on Studio Lighting. Check out the event descriptions below, and follow the link to our site so you can reserve your spot. You are more than welcome to RSVP on this page, but just remember that further reservation is required and spots are limited for each workshop. This event page will not update as the spaces fill up, but we will give you weekly updates on openings.

(1)Beginner Workshop:
Studio photography gives you consistency and control over your lighting that natural light (though beautiful) cannot achieve. At first, studio lighting can strike fear in the heart of photographers that don't know the difference between a light meter and a lighting diagram. For this beginner workshop we will be going over the basics of studio lighting. We will introduce you to monolights, softboxes, reflectors, and a variety of grip equipment. Feel free to bring your camera but we will not be shooting a lot of photos. Instead, this two hour workshop will give you experience with handling and adjusting the gear.
Duration: 10a - 12p
Cost: $30
(2)Intermediate workshop:
Studio photography gives you consistency and control over your lighting that natural light (though beautiful) cannot achieve. At first studio lighting can strike fear in the heart of photographers that don't know the difference between a light meter and a lighting diagram. This intermediate workshop will introduce more variety in your lighting set ups; more modifiers, different angles, and creative use of grip equipment. We will also give you hands on experience with actually using a light meter and drawing lighting diagrams.
Duration: 1p - 3p
Cost: $60
